Bad boy Hall to go straight to tribunal
Sydney Full Forward big bad Barry Hall will go straight to the tribunal for the king hit on Brett Staker which took place in the Swans demolition of the Eagles on Saturday night.
After scrutinising the incident, the match review panel today ruled Hall's offence as intentional, high contact and causing severe impact. Staker left the ground in a daze and the footage showed him in clear distress after the provoked attack.
Hall must face the tribunal tomorrow night and is expected to plead guilty. However because it has gone straight to the tribunal, Barry can not submit an early guilty plea and gain a 25 per cent penalty reduction.
The incident was captured from various angles on Channel Ten.
If Hall does recieve the expected 6 week penalty, his first game back will be against the Eagles at Subiaco Oval in round 11.
