Power surge as Eagles fans stay away
Surely Eagles Coach John Worsfold must come under pressure as the Eagles have their worst start to a season since the former Carlton assistant took over from Ken Judge. Worsfold appeared to have no answers as the Power kicked five goals in 7 minutes during the second quarter against the much vaunted Eagles defence which looked old and slow. This set up the 24 point loss which actually flattered the Eagles as the Power led at one point in the fourth quarter by 68 points.
Despite West Coast having over 43, 000 members, the official attendance at the game was only 38,000 with a number of Port supporters out barracking another lacklustre Eagles crowd, which admittedly had little to cheer for.
If West Coast lose next week, against the Western Bulldogs, who have not been defeated yet, and who will be playing at their favourite ground Telstra Dome, it will be their worst start to the season ever.
