Starbucks eats itself
Today Starbucks named the stores that will be closed in Australia – 61 of their 84 outlets. Earlier this month they announced that they would be closing 600 stores, or 5% of their outlets, in the US, due to poor performance, letting go 12,000 staff.
So what’s gone wrong?

Well they could have served decent coffee for starters. I’d like to think that maybe American coffee didn’t translate well for Australians.

Hi Bronwen, not sure if I should have put more of the story in. I wanted people to click through to the full analysis on my blog! I think you’re right about the coffee quality and bizarre styles/flavours.

Maybe a bit more - I’m guessing that’s why it was voted down. I gave it a vote up! In that case I’d write more in the story and point interested parties through to the full analysis.
