OLYMPIC glamour girl Stephanie Rice is worth millions thanks to her stash of gold medals, celebrity agent Max Markson says.And he said that Rice's racy spread in men's mag FHM wouldn't dent her earning potential. "From a marketer's point of view you want to have the athletes in the news pages as well as the sports pages so if that can happen for the good reasons, the right reasons (that's great)," Markson told the Nine Network this morning.

I think you’re underestimating the Americans. I’m in the US at the moment, it means a LOT over here. Every Olympics news story mentions him in some degree and always refers to the records he’s made.

Yeah I get that, but I’ve seen some conflicting commentary. One (Australian) agent reckons Phelps will be rolling in it. Other commentary suggests he’ll soon be forgotten because of the US focus on their pro and college basketball/football/baseball leagues.
